Handmade in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia

This authentic Wiwa mochila is handwoven from natural fique fibre, a strong, plant-based material traditionally harvested, prepared, and spun by Indigenous women of the Sierra Nevada. Each bag takes weeks to create, moving through a slow, ancestral process passed down through generations.

This particular mochila features earth-rooted tones of deep plum, warm ochre, soft cream, and muted gold. The clean stepped-stripe pattern represents the natural rhythms of the territory — mountains, water, and the pathways that connect all beings.

Every mochila is completely unique. No two are ever the same.
